About Me

My name is Angela and I like to bake (and eat!) pastries of all kinds.

I work full-time here in Portland, Oregon but on the weekends I am able to explore love of baked goods.

I have always casually liked baking (translation: boxed cake mix) but in 2009 I went to Paris and fell in love. The croissants, the tarts, the little boxes of macarons! I never knew baking could be so exciting and creative. Now I am making it my goal to bake on Sundays and learn as much about baking and pastry as possible.

I have two faithful assistants, one is an orange cat named Tiger that I love dearly. He will eat anything and his role is to help clean up anything that drops to the floor.

My other assistant is a beautiful Kitchen Aid mixer that is necessary in taking my baking to a higher level and also giving my arms a rest! Seriously, what would I do without you?

I should also mention my digital scale. All of the recipes in this blog are have measurements in the usual cups/tablespoons/etc. but they will also have measurements in grams/milliliters/etc. I only use the digital scale for measuring ingredients, I know it seems a little overkill for muffins but some recipes are very precise. Also it makes less dishes.
